Highlights

What BandBridge does

Bluetooth discovery

Scan, connect and inspect GATT services and characteristics on macOS, Windows and Linux.

RPK validation

Check the manifest, size and checksum of a package before anything is uploaded.

Xiaomi deployment on macOS

The retained Xiaomi BLE V2 engine handles QR plus AuthKey pairing and RPK install (beta).

Vendor adapter registry

Zepp, Huawei/Honor and Garmin workflows are mapped and tested with fixtures. Live writes stay locked until hardware qualification.

Safety first

Read-only by default, no silent resets or unbinding, and AuthKeys and cookies are never logged.

Four UI languages

English, Japanese, Korean and Vietnamese, with release CI for all three desktop platforms.

BandBridge is a source kit for teams that build apps for wearables. The desktop app discovers Bluetooth devices, inspects their GATT services, validates packages and runs vendor-specific deployment flows, with explicit capability gates so nothing is written to a device that has not been qualified.

Support at version 0.9.0

Platform or vendor Discovery GATT inspection Pair / auth App install
macOS 13+ Yes Yes Xiaomi BLE V2 engine Xiaomi RPK engine
Windows 10/11 Yes Yes Qualification pending Disabled
Linux (BlueZ) Yes Yes Qualification pending Disabled
Xiaomi / Redmi HyperOS Yes Yes Beta on macOS Beta RPK on macOS
Amazfit / Zepp Yes Yes Mapped, hardware pending Mapped, writes locked
Huawei / Honor Yes Yes Mapped, hardware pending Mapped, writes locked
Garmin Yes Yes Garmin Connect system pairing Signed PRG over USB / IQ Store

"Mapped" means the build can parse and route the documented workflow; it does not mean live writes are enabled. Pairing and installation support depends on model, firmware and account region.

What you receive

FAQ

Questions about BandBridge

Anything else? Email [email protected].

What does AGPL-3.0-only mean for me?

The retained implementation derives from AGPL-3.0 work, so this package is AGPL-3.0-only. You may use, modify and sell builds, but you must share your source under the same license when you distribute it or offer it over a network.

Which wearables can it install apps on?

Live installation currently targets Xiaomi / Redmi HyperOS bands through the macOS engine (beta). Other vendors include discovery, inspection and mapped workflows, with writes locked until each adapter passes real-device testing.

Is it affiliated with a wearable vendor?

No. BandBridge is not an official product of any wearable vendor.
